It’s time to share more news about this upcoming season, and this time around, it’s about our Early Entry and Golden Entry perks, plus some updates on attractions and their schedules.
As always, read through these details carefully so you can be well-prepared for your upcoming visit!
What is Early Entry?
Early Entry is an exclusive benefit for Cedar Point Resorts guests, Platinum Passholders and Cedar Point Gold Passholders. It gives you access to the park one hour before the posted public opening time (9:00 a.m. on most days). Up to 24 rides are available for you to enjoy!
The items you’ll need…
Cedar Point Gold and Platinum Passholders should have their physical card (or their digital card loaded onto our Cedar Point mobile app) handy at all times – you’ll need to show it for access at ride entrances.
If you’re staying at a Cedar Point Resorts property, you’ll need to pick up your Early Entry pass at the front desk before you head to the park (this includes Platinum/CP Gold Passholders).
In all cases, each person in your party must have one of these items appropriate for each benefit for entry, and you may have to present them at multiple attractions – keep them secured and ready to show!
Where do I enter?
Our gates will open just a little bit before 9:00 a.m. each day. If you are staying at any of our on-site Cedar Point Resorts properties, you’ll have access to the Magnum XL-200 Gate (located underneath Magnum XL-200 near Cedar Point Shores) or the WindSeeker Gate (located at the east end of the boardwalk underneath WindSeeker).
If you’re staying at Express Hotel, you’ll park in the main parking lot enter through the Main Gate.
If you are not staying at one of our hotels and you're a Cedar Point Gold or Platinum Passholder, you’ll enter through the Main Gate only.
Remember: all people in your party must each have the appropriate pass for access!

More attraction news
This season, we’re excited to introduce Snake River Expedition. That ride is set to debut on May 28 and will operate through September 6. Its daily hours will be 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island returns this year, June 11 through September 6, operating from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. each day.

Also new this year, due to the popularity of some attractions, ride lines may close prior to park closing time in order to accommodate riders within park operating hours. We want to ensure that our team is ready to have these attractions up and running for everyone the next operating day.
