Chill Vacationers Itinerary
Laid-Back, Stress Free
Not everyone craves heart-pumping, adrenaline-generating attractions. Sometimes, vacation is all about relaxing and doing less. Take your mind off the problems of the real world and read through this itinerary just for you…but don't hurry. There's no rush.
Grab your favorite morning hot beverage from Starbucks, located inside Hotel Breakers, and take in the amazing sunrise over Lake Erie while strolling down the Cedar Point boardwalk, or take a cruise on a Boardwalk Cruiser for a Rise & Shine Tour featuring mimosas and pastries.
End your morning stroll at Cedar Point Shores Waterpark for some chillin' and relaxin'. Grab an intertube and float down the lazy river…nice and easy. Take a lap…or two. Then, you can head over to Breakwater Bay wave pool and lay down on a pool chair while you read your favorite book or pop in headphones while you soak up some sun.
All this relaxing can sure work up an appetite. Stop into Dockside Grill at Cedar Point Shores for some chicken fingers, a cheeseburger or all-beef hot dog and a side of crispy fries. Polish off your lunch with a sundae from Beaches & Cream.
After lunch grab a change of clothes and head into Cedar Point, you’ll be surprised how much low-octane thrills there are inside. Just inside the Resort Gate you can find Snake River Expedition, where a member of Trapper Dan’s crew will lead you on a secret mission that will have you smuggling valuable bounty to safer waters. Even if the story isn’t your thing, it’s still a relaxin’ boat ride.
Once you get your land legs back head on over to Frontier Town to check out the Town Hall, a fun and modern take on the 150-year history of Cedar Point. Featuring interactive displays from Cedar Point’s humble beginnings as a bathing beach and bathhouse to the multi-day family destination that it is today. Then embark on a Park History Tour that departs right from the museum. Choose from two different self-guided experiences.
Take a walk through the Gemini Midway, a section of the park that looks spectacular at night. Grab some dinner from BackBeatQue, Melt Bar & Grilled, or for a really special meal, exit through the Marina Gate and dine at Bay Harbor, Cedar Point’s waterfront elegant dining location.
To wrap up the night take a night ride on one of Cedar Point’s slower rides like Giant Wheel, or Sky Ride. If you’d rather stay on the ground try Antique Cars or Midway Carousel.
One of the best parts of a relaxing getaway is waking up to a delicious hot breakfast that you didn’t have to prepare! Fresh omelets, buttermilk pancakes and other breakfast favorites await at Perkins located in the Hotel Breakers lobby. While you get fueled up, plan your excursion for the day. There’s so many possibilities.
You could catch a Jet Express ride from the Cedar Point Marina and head to Kelleys Island or Put-In-Bay. Enjoy your time at your choice of island, a setting unique to Lake Erie. Put-N-Bay offers many bars and restaurants while Kelleys offers camping and family fun. Or, you could hop in the car and check out Cedar Point’s Sawmill Creek Resort for a round of golf on our Tom Fozio designed course and a relaxing stroll through the Sheldon Marsh featuring beautiful views and wildlife spotting opportunities.
Once you get back from your excursion take some time to chill out on the Cedar Point Beach. You can soak up some sun, enjoy the sounds of live music, enjoy a drink at Sand Bar and if you’re feeling adventurous you can rent a kayak or paddleboard from Northcoast Parasail
Don’t forget about lunch. You could have Domino’s Pizza delivered to hot spot located conveniently on the Cedar Point Boardwalk, take a complimentary shuttle to the Cedar Point Marina for some St Luis style BBQ at Famous Dave’s or head into the park to try one of those places you saw on day one. Then, check out one of our amazing live shows at the Jack Aldritch Theatre, Gossip Gulch Stage, or the Celebration Plaza Stage.
After lunch check out some of Cedar Pont’s other laid-back rides. Hop on one of the few operating authentic coal-fired steam locomotives in the world aboard the Cedar Point & Lake Erie Railroad. Catch the stop at Frontier Town, or if you miss it, that’s okay there’s only two stops, enjoy the ride! Once in frontier town you can check out more live shows at Lusty Lil’s Palace and take a leisurely cruise in the Cadillac Cars.
As the day winds down to an end head to the Main Midway and grab a Cedar Point classic treat at The Corral. Then, join us in celebrating our 150th anniversary at the Celebrate 150 Spectacular, a larger than life parade featuring dozens of floats that bring Cedar Point’s history-making moments to life.
Once the sun goes down, experience those hot summer nights like never before on the Cedar Point Beach! Relax and unwind with fire pits, music, and beach games.
