Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island

As we continue to work on increased safety measures and operational changes throughout our park, we have made the decision to postpone the opening of this interactive experience until 2021 in order to observe and respect social distancing.

There’s a completely new land to discover at Cedar Point, and the story starts with YOU! Although a celebration of peace is taking place, is everything what it seems? As the day unfolds, you’ll have the opportunity to play a role as big or little as you want in this immersive living story, with the power to sway the outcome and the fate of Adventure Island depending on the choices you make.

From mind-bending challenges and group competitions to secret missions and simple conversation starting – you’ll have to figure out who to side with and who to trust. Or simply sit back, grab some provisions and watch the action unfold.

It’s time to discover and uncover a new adventure like no other!

This is Cedar Point’s new Frontier. Previously undiscovered. Wild and mysterious. A vast terra firma ready for exploration. Where getting there is half the fun. Pull your group across Snake River Swamp aboard a four-person raft, take the wandering way around or brave the makeshift boggy bridge or venture through Cascade Crossing. Explore what you see, set off some water smokescreens and cautiously poke around a marooned fishing boat. Choose any which way – and let the adventure begin.

…Once you’ve conquered the swamp, head into unchartered territory. Be aware - both wanderers and profiteers have come before you, some seeking riches, others searching for a simpler way of life. This speculation of rumored riches created fierce friction and relentless scheming, even among those with the best intensions. Two clans emerged, each trying to out-do the other in hopes of finding the rumored treasure. The looting and feuding became so severe, Commander Etta Fox was sent from Frontier Town to restore order. Upon her arrival, outsiders were forbidden to venture over until five years of peace could prevail…

…and now, today’s the day – five years have passed and the ban has been lifted! It’s Truce Day! A time to celebrate and a time to see what all the hullabaloo has been about. You may be asked to lend a hand on Shuckerman’s Farm and help Otis overcome his fear of chickens, deliver goods, decipher cryptic codes or just spend some quality time with Chess Watkins and her pet emu. Choose a different path...

…and you might run into Nadya, an ex-pat gypsy who was accidentally left in her father’s wagon as a young child and traded to a fur trapper who brought her to the island. Have your fortune told and see if she or the Elder can help unravel the whereabouts of the missing treasure map - the match that lit fire and started this ruckus five years ago today.
