Content Creators
Partnering with the Park
From YouTube to TikTok and everything in between – Cedar Point is on the lookout for talented creators to help us share park news, special event details and new park experiences. Please review the information below to learn more about how we partner with established creators.
Due to the high volume of requests we receive, we are only accepting partnerships featured on this page at this time.
At select times throughout the year, Cedar Point is pleased to partner with content creators who can help share our story with their readers, followers and viewers. When opportunities become available, they’ll be posted at the bottom of this page (we do not offer individual opportunities at this time).
Potential content creator partners must review each opportunity’s guidelines, then apply to participate. If chosen, they’ll be invited to the select event/opportunity and will be provided with further instructions and any necessary agreements.
We will not work with creators whose content or personal activity:
• Does not support our park values (Integrity, Courtesy, Inclusiveness, Safety, Service, Cleanliness);
• Bullies, harasses or discriminates against other people or associates, online or in the park;
• Shows behind-the-scenes or restricted areas without park approval;
• Shares park insider information (including, but not limited to photos, video, documents or details about future events/attractions) without park approval;
• Actively spreads misinformation about company policies, programs or associates;
• Violates park safety rules, code of conduct or creator guidelines;
• Includes copyright infringement and/or unauthorized use of Six Flags' intellectual property;
• Portrays the park, or any other Six Flags park, in an inappropriate manner.
We believe in supporting inclusive and positive online communities and will review previously posted content when considering partnerships.
We’re always looking for great storytellers. Think of our partnerships as amplifications of the news and stories told by the park’s Communications Team. Quality of visuals, voiceovers, comment responses, editing and creator personality are all reviewed when considering partnerships. How you tell your stories with your normal content is a key factor we’ll review prior to approving a potential partnership.
In addition, our team reviews your previously posted content. If it does not align with Cedar Point’s values or the content violates safety policies and procedures, the opportunity will be declined.
Yes! We prefer quality over quantity. If you’re a great storyteller, we’re looking to you to deliver our story in the same manner you’re used to – we want to see it told through your eyes! It doesn’t matter if you have 500 followers or 5 million – if the content matches our values and is of high quality, you’ll be considered.
Depending on the available opportunity, that’s ok! Sometimes, we’re looking for great visuals, so Instagram is a preferred channel. At other times, we’re looking for big-picture storytelling, so YouTube may be our preferred channel. From new rides to special events to HalloWeekends, our needs will change. If you’re selected for one opportunity, it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be selected for others; it depends on our objectives for that particular story or topic.
Cedar Point maintains a media list comprised of traditional media outlets (television, radio and online news sites) and their credentialed reporters only. While we are not currently adding content creators to this list, should we partner on a regular basis, you may receive our news as it’s distributed.
All of Cedar Point’s major news releases are shared on our Media Center page as they’re made public and can be viewed there.
Whether you’re working with us as part of an official partnership or just visiting on your own and creating content, we do have some general guidelines you must follow. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in safety-related ejection from the park and/or the termination of opportunities to work with the park in the future.
• Large cameras and crews are not permitted. For larger productions, please contact us with your specific request.
• Equipment acceptable for recording on midways includes phones, GoPros, small video cameras and DSLRs without stabilization equipment.
• On-ride photography is strictly prohibited. This includes the use of GoPro (regardless of securing mechanism), Google Glass or other sunglass-based cameras, or any other micro camera device.
• Photography is permitted in public areas of the park only and should not interfere with park operation or the guest experience in any way.
• The use of drones over Cedar Point property and its guests is strictly prohibited. Any unauthorized drone(s) observed over Cedar Point will be reported to the FAA and local law enforcement, regardless of its point of origin or operation. Drones may pose a potential safety risk and may violate FAA guidelines.
• While gathering content, interviewing guests or Associates is not permitted. This includes off-site properties that are owned and/or managed by Cedar Point.
• Please tag our official Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or TikTok accounts in your posts - we may share the content you've created!
There are no opportunities at this time. Please revisit this page throughout the year to learn about potential collaborations!
