Don’t let the name fool you, Riptide Raceway isn’t like any other raceway you have been to before. There are no cars or flags. There is just you, a group of friends, blue mats, and the water that takes you on your journey to the finish line. The starting line contains six slides, lined up next to each other for a fair take off. But this isn’t like a car where you sit down - oh no. This race makes you dive in head first on your stomach. Grab the handles of your mat and get into starting position, because once the race starts it’s all up to the water to take you on your way to victory. After the complete darkness in the helix, racers come out into the sunshine right before taking on the double down hills. This is where the race gets close. There isn’t a photo finish, but there IS a splash finish!
