Info You Need To Know

Tony Clark

Director of Communications

Today, we launched detailed information on what your visit to the park will look like. While there are a lot of small changes, one thing remains the same: we’re still here to provide a day of safe fun for you, your family and your friends.

Please take a moment to read the full details on our Welcoming You Back page. You’ll need this information before you make a reservation to visit the park. Read the FAQ’s carefully, as many of your questions can be answered there.

In addition to those details, I wanted to call out a few things that are critical for you to know.

Park Reservations Required

This is the biggie – because we’ve limited park capacity, a reservation is required for all guests to enter the park gates, including Season Passholders. The only exception is for those who have booked a stay at our Cedar Point Resorts properties – you’ll get guaranteed access and a reservation will automatically be made for you for each night of your visit.

We will reach out to Season Passholders and those who have pre-purchased tickets very soon - keep an eye on your email. For everyone else, keep an eye on our social channels. We will update you there.

Early Entry

With the changes happening this year, Early Entry and Golden Entry will not take place for Gold/Platinum Passholders or Cedar Point Resorts guests.

Also important to note: Season Pass Bring-a-Friend days/benefits will not be valid this season.

Rides & Attractions

Due to social distancing guidelines, Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island and Snoopy Bounce will not open this season. In addition, Snake River Falls and the new Snake River Expedition will open in 2021.

You’ll see social distancing on our rides, including ground markers and closed rows/seats.

Face Coverings

We’re requiring face coverings at the park. Why? Because our top priority is the health and safety of our guests and associates. They’re required everywhere, even on rides. However, you’ll be able to remove them in our RelaxZones (areas set up so you can take a face covering break) and while eating/drinking. We all need to do our part to have fun safely.

Cedar Point Shores Waterpark

Due to the reduced summer season, Cedar Point Shores Waterpark will not open this year. We anticipate it will be back and better than ever in 2021.

Smoking Policy

Beginning with our opening on July 9 for Season Passholders, Cedar Point will become a smoke-free environment. Smoking will only be permitted in the designated smoking area outside the Main Gate.

Fast Lane

New Fast Lane wristbands will not be sold this season. However, if you’ve already purchased in advance, or have one as part of a ticket package, you will be able to use them this year.

We’re still the same America’s Roller Coast you know and love – it’s just a tad different for everyone – and we’re all in this together!

See you soon. Ride on.
