Congratulations, Ken
Our Director of Safety, Ken Berryhill, has been in our business a long time. Specifically, about 41 years.
He started his career at an amusement park in Texas when he was 16. But he had an interest in becoming a police officer, so he moved over to their security deparment. And when a safety position became available here at Cedar Point in 1999, he took it.
We're glad he did.
Throughout his entire career, it's estimated that he's had the responsibility for the safety of over 87 million guests. He's certified as a Fall Protection Trainer, a Senior Ride Inspector and a member of the National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials.
He's also just an extremely swell guy, and we couldn't be happier for him.
Ken was recently awarded the William J. Duffy Memorial Award for his career achievements in safety. This award is presented to local members of the community who have outstanding safety achievements, and to those who have gone above and beyond to help save a life.
The award is presented by the Sandusky Area Safety Council.
Congratulations, Ken - we're proud to have you as a member of our family!
