A Reunion Surprise
We’ve talked a lot about how tradition truly shapes the Cedar Point experience.
Some people are just beginning an annual tradition – some are continuing one that’s been going on for many, many years.
Meet the Morehouse Family.
Every year, they travel here with Hotel Breakers as their home base. Their 2021 visit happened just a few weeks ago.
In fact, we featured a little bit of their story in our Cedar Point 150th Anniversary: The Fun Is Just Beginning book (pg. 13), available now in the park and online.
In some capacity, the family’s been visiting Cedar Point since the early-1900’s, and today, it’s still the annual unofficial “Morehouse Family Reunion” with over 100 family members typically attending for an entire week.
This year’s reunion had a fun little twist – an engagement.
Meet cousin Johnny and his now fiancé, Katrina.
They dated some 20 years ago and recently rekindled their relationship two years ago. And the proposal happened on that “official” two-year anniversary in fun fashion…through a Viewmaster!
What was on the last slide? This:
Their next chapter has officially begun, including the purchase of their first home together near Cleveland. And in that home, they'll be joined by four kids and their two dogs, Stella and Stanley (and we assume a whole lot of photos from their 2021 Cedar Point visit!).
These are the traditions we love. And love appears to be a fine tradition to keep!
Congratulations to Johnny & Katrina, and a shout-out to the Morehouse Family for making Cedar Point a part of your family’s history.
