Mice on the Mouse Trap

Happy St. Patrick's Day! The weather is sooooorrrrt of turning warmer, and that means the park is waking up again.

I shared this Tweet of Millennium Force's red train back on the track the other day. I can't explain it, but when you work here and see these little things, it'll give you goosebumps.

By the way, you CAN work here - we're hiring all positions for the 2023 season, and we'd love to have you join us!

I took a stroll along The Boardwalk to check in on the progress and I have a few things to share with you.

We've begun the prep work for both Matterhorn and Atomic Scrambler (this one's Matterhorn):

We'll be pouring foundations and concrete over the next few weeks and shortly after, we'll start installing these rides in their new locations. It's going to feel so very different over here, and I'm already a fan.

As some of you super-sleuths noticed on our live park webcams, two members of our Wild Mouse family are now on the track.

Zaggy and Larry are first up, reporting for (testing) duty!

The Zamperla crew will be on site next week to begin the process of firing everything up, and shortly after, we'll see the first mouse make its way around the track!

There's nothing like the first run of a roller coaster - and I'm looking forward to seeing it up close.

Inside Grand Pavilion, we're starting to see finishes come together on the interior. Exterior roofing and finishes are ongoing, which you can watch from our live webcam.

On the main staircases to the second floor bar and decks, these hand-crafted metal balusters/spindles adorn each side of the stairs. They'll later be capped with beautiful wood banisters.

And when you enter Grand Pavilion, you'll be greeted with beautiful tile work throughout the building, including this hand-laid tile (reminds me of the scales on a Lake Erie fish) on the wall near the kitchen.

There's so much more to come. And as other parts of the park come to life, we'll share those on our social channels, so stay connected across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

One final update to share - if you're staying at a Cedar Point Resorts property, or a Platinum, Prestige or Prestige+ Passholder, you'll get to experience The Boardwalk before the general public each day, as we've just released details on our 2023 Early Entry program. If you haven't picked up one of these Passes, you can do so now before the 2023 season kicks off on Saturday, May 6.
