Meet Alyse, The New Digital Communications Manager

Hello Cedar Point! My name is Alyse, I am very VERY excited to be (back) working in the marketing department. What I mean by back is that I have previously been a seasonal multi-media associate in 2020 and 2021. You may also recognize me from the announcement video of Wicked Twister’s last launch. Yup, that was me!
My love for this park grew from being an associate, but it stemmed from making the drive up from my hometown of Hartville, Ohio for many years! I will always remember my first time visiting the park with my family and being tricked into riding the Magnum XL 200 by my mother and being a terrified 11 year old. As I got older, I started coming to the park more and more. There were days I would come up on a Sunday with one friend group then Monday, a different group. And as I got older the roller coasters became more and more fun - I became a “ride warrior.” For me, there was never a bad time to go to Cedar Point for a day.
Bear with me here… this is going to get a little cringe but trust me it’s kind of cute. I always had an interest in photography and video production. So when I was at the park, my digital camera was too! I was fascinated by taking photos from the causeway of the morning skyline, selfies with friends, and of course the rides. It was so much fun for me, and never would I thought one day that I would be doing it professionally for the park. Needless to say… little me is SCREAMING! Of course, this was mid 2000s through the 2010s, the photo quality was not there but the heart and craftsmanship of over-saturating is. These are the wonderful photos I took and edited when I was kid..
That little backwards smiley face gets me every time (LOL).
Cedar Point was never just a place for me, it was a feeling. The excitement of the drive up, to waiting in line for my favorite ride (Maverick) and eating as many funnel cakes as my heart desired. I have some of my most favorite memories from visiting the park that I now call home.
Believe it or not my skills in photography have improved since I was a teen and here are some of my favorite photos that I have taken as a seasonal associate.
Some more fun and interesting facts about me:
- I LOVE hockey, I am a huge Tampa Bay Lightning fan.
- I played lacrosse and golf in college, and the school I attended is Hiram College. (Go Terriers!)
- I have a TikTok obsession.
- My favorite restaurant in the park is The Farmhouse.
