Shutting Down & Building Up

A little over a week past the closing of our 2022 season, our team is BUSY. 

It's an annual cycle, but I can't stress how much work needs to be done between the time we close and the time we open for 2023 (which is May 6, btw). 

I thought I'd share some of the sights from inside the gates as we "tear down" HalloWeekends and ring in a new set of thrills at The Boardwalk!

This family of punkins finally came down off the roof, only to learn we're closed (sorry folks, park's closed...yadda yadda yadda)!

THIS ONE HURTS EVEN MORE...

There are a LOT of leaves to clean up. Our top-notch landscaping team will be raking, gathering and removing giant leaf piles from all over the park. 

Who wants to jump in???!

It's like a skeleton bus! (Destination: storage!)

Oh, and over on The Boardwalk, our 18th roller coaster (yes, I said 18), is starting to rise!

The first pieces of Wild Mouse include the base support network and the final turn into the brake run.

We're "wheely" excited about this new addition!

Curvy bits are always a treat, especially when spinning 360 degrees!

Cedar Point's Grand Pavilion rises in the background while Wild Mouse construction is just getting started. We'll have lots more to share as progess continues right along the Lake Erie shore.
