Frontier Festival Foods Revealed

Howdy, pard’ner! Here’s something your tastebuds can look forward to-. It’s our annual Frontier Festival and it’s right around the CORN-er! From May 25 to June 18, saddle up for tastes, belly washers and other boot-scootin’ fun. It’ll sure be a hoot! So let’s focus on on one of my favorite parts of the event – THE FOOD!

IT’S CORN!

This year there’s a NEW theme for our delicious food tastings – CORN! First up at Smokehouse there’s an Elote Sweet Corn Quesadilla topped with sour cream. There’s nothin’ better than cheesy-loaded ‘dilla filled with goodness…amirite?

If you’re coming to satisfy your sweet tooth, then we have just the thing for you. Head to Coca-Cola Fountains & Floats for Corn Ice Cream – yes, we have CORN ICE CREAM! Topped with butterscotch and caramel corn topping, this sweet and salty combo will take you by surprise with how delicious it is.

Miss Keat’s Smokehouse is another tasting stop with the Chicken OR Beef Walking Tacos. This is one is my personal favorite. Choose chicken or beef, covered with nacho cheese and fixin’s, all on top of a bed of crunchy Honey BBQ Fritos®. Trust me, you’re going to be taco-ing about it!

Head on over to Mine Ride Morsels for Savory Corn Fritters topped with sour cream and chives. This culinary creation is bursting with flavor and has a comforting, yet exciting appeal that keeps you wanting more. And if you don’t do fritters, well you’re a quitter! (LOL)

All jokes aside, this next item at Wave Swinger Sweets may seem a little unconventional, but it’s delicious. It’s the Sweet Corn Cheesecake Squares, a unique and decadent dessert that combines the creamy richness of cheesecake with the delightful sweetness of corn. Topped with some whipped cream and caramel drizzle, you’ll forget that you’re eating corn!

Finally, at Wagon Wheel we just had to put a corny twist on pizza! The Charred Corn & Chorizo Flatbread is a mouthwatering culinary creation that combines smoky charred corn kernels, flavorful chorizo and a crispy flatbread base topped with fresh jalapeños. It's a delightful medley of textures and flavors that will have your taste buds dancin’ to the banjos.
