Cedar Point has an immediate opening in its Marketing Division for an experienced Sales Representative.

The Sales Representative is responsible for developing sales contacts, growing markets, and increasing sales with an assigned geographic location. If you love to connect with customers, have personal interactions while setting and achieving sales goals; this is the job for YOU!

Qualifications & Skills


  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Liberal Arts or related course of study, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of professional related experience in sales for large venues, amusement parks or hospitality industry.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and driven to reach goals.

Job Description


The Merchandise Manager is responsible for the daily operations of all retail locations. This position is a hands on leader that promotes and applies sound management techniques to ensure full development of staff. Cooperates with the Vice President, Merchandise & Games in the establishment of operating policies and procedures for retail sales.

Essential Duties:


  • Ensures compliance of all divisional/company policies and procedures throughout the department.
  • Prepares revenue, expense, and general business projections as requested by the Vice President, Merchandise & Games.
  • Establishes and implements the visual merchandising plan for all merchandise locations.
  • Facilitates and promotes timely communication and cooperation among the merchandise team and other company resources to accomplish divisional sales, margin and service objectives.
  • Prepares annual budgets for the merchandise department.
  • Ensures that merchandise strategy supports financial objectives for the division (includes inventory, product, pricing, promotions, etc.).
  • Develops and implements a merchandise open to buy inventory plan with approval of the Vice President, Merchandise & Games.
  • Manages the activities of the merchandise team.
  • Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a retail or related field, and some college education or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrates strong training and motivational skills.
  • Ability to achieve a balance between merchandising, inventory management, financial planning and critical analytical thinking.
  • Ability to think outside of the norm for new merchandising concepts.
  • Ability to easily shift between strategic work and daily operational activities.
  • Ability to effectively manage others.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, across the organization, influencing decisions and actions.
