Cedar Fair has an immediate opening for the position of Financial Systems Analyst in Sandusky, Ohio. This full time position will report to our Corporate Director, Accounting Information Systems.

JOB SUMMARY:


This position has broad responsibility for the implementation and day-to-day functional administration across both the Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and JD Edwards suite of finance applications. This position functions as a key team member of the Corporate Finance group. This role requires knowledge in financial reporting, consolidation and data mapping (ETL) software products, along with a basic understanding of GAAP, multi-currency consolidations and financial statement presentations. This team member must be able to work both independently and as contributing team member, to meet team and department goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in financial reporting or consolidation.
  • Experience in the Hyperion and/or JDE suite of products, preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and independently.
  • Excellent in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test and background check, which may include, but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day-to-day administration of multiple EPM applications focusing on master data setup and maintenance, focusing on organizational hierarchies, entities/departments and account dimensions.
  • Develops and administers mapping changes within and across the EPM applications.
  • Maintains system security for users and groups that access the EPM applications.
  • Supports and performs systemic month-end closing and reporting processes, as well as additional ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Coordinates software upgrades and/or implementation projects related to testing, validating and functional enhancements of the applications.
  • Assists users with technical issues and general application questions during the month-end close processes.
  • Prepares and delivers training on software and processes to appropriate personnel throughout the company.
  • Works closely with end users and Corporate IT on support issues related to the software.
  • Develops, updates and maintains system administration documentation.
  • Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates a commitment to guest service in all aspects of employment.

Cedar Point has an opening in its Food and Beverage Division for an Area Manager of In Park Restaurants. This role will oversee multiple stores including some franchise and in-house brands. Qualifications

  • 2-3 years multi-unit restaurant and/or concessions management experience in high volume and/or amusement park locations.

  • Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Ensures Best Day Experience for service levels in operating units under direct supervisory control while ensuring the highest food and beverage quality and ensuring selections are consistently available.
  • Reviews daily, weekly, and monthly department paperwork and reports, and takes action to implement appropriate corrective actions to resolve operational concerns. Ensures all state and local health regulations are consistently meeting standards.
  • Assists in the preparation and administration of the annual operating budget; makes overall adjustments (labor, ODC, COG) throughout the year to meet division specific goals for accountable operating units.
  • Manages direct reports’ performance issues, addresses disciplinary situations, and provides significant input into promotion, demotion, and termination decisions; reviews adjust and approves performance appraisals for department staff on an annual basis.
  • Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of Resort Management, coordinate the housekeeping operation of its newly renovated Hotel Breakers Resort property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Support Cedar Fair Cornerstone philosophies of safety, service, cleanliness, courtesy and integrity.
  • Maintain a professional and service-oriented environment at all times. Consistently provide the Best Day service experience.
  • Ensure guest rooms and public spaces are clean and serviced on a daily basis, according to hotel standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • High school graduate; college education preferred in hospitality or similar.
  • 1-2+ years professional hotel or fast-paced hospitality industry.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience desired.
  • Strong time and project management skills and experience. Very strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with employee associates, vendors and guests in a positive, productive and professional manner.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English at a level sufficient to conduct employee meetings; provide detailed direction to staff, guests, and vendors; and write policies, procedures, reports and other business related documents and correspondence.

    Reporting to the Director, Group Sales, this Detroit, Michigan based Sales Representative is responsible for developing, managing, and increasing sales within an assigned geographic territory. This position is expected to meet or exceed specific attendance and revenue goals by renewing existing and prospecting for new business. Position requires: heavy cold calling, email marketing, and direct b2b sales. Must possess excellent customer service skills, strong presentation skills and have the ability to travel as required within the territory and to Cedar Point when needed. .


    Qualifications


    • Bachelor's Degree from 4-year College or University required.
    • 1-2 years related experience in the sales industry. Experience in theme park, hospitality, entertainment, or travel industry preferred.
    • Demonstrated sales ability and sales results with ability to work in an independent environment with minimum supervision to deliver against set sales goals and sales engagement goals.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    • Develops, manages, and sells to new and existing Group Sales accounts within assigned geographic territory or business segment through in-person sales and service calls for Cedar Point to achieve and exceed annual sales territory goals. Group Sales includes corporate business segment, third party resellers, member organizations (AAAs, credit unions, etc.) that either hold catered or non-catered specific day events at the park and/or offer ticket programs to their employees or members.
    • Manages territory/segment by spending a minimum of 50% of time soliciting sales at customers’ or potential customers’ places of business.
    • Performs other work that furthers individual outside sales efforts including, follow-up communication via telephone, written materials and email; planning and preparing for outside sales calls using sales tools and databases; consistent use of CRM system to accurately forecast territory bookings, pulling and analyzing sales reports to identify business gaps and opportunities; prepare proposals, provide tours of event and park facilities, and ensuring full account support to all clients with regard to marketing and on site coordination of events and activities, etc.
    • Supports and attends key group sales catered and large group events when needed.
    • Recommends new or different programs to meet the needs of each client including new catering options, ticket programs, or other revenue streams to meet the wishes of the client.
    • Represents the parks at local chamber and tourism entities for source of sales opportunities and funnel marketing opportunities to the Consumer Marketing team; identifies and attends networking events to prospect for new business leads within geographic territories.
    • Adheres to all park policies and procedures, including attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.
