Cedar Point has an opening in its Food and Beverage Division for an Area Manager of In Park Restaurants. This role will oversee multiple stores including some franchise and in-house brands. This position will report to the Manager of Food and Beverage - In Park Restaurants. Work at world’s best amusement park destination and The Roller Coaster Capital of the World®. Oversees the operations and area management of our In Park restaurants to include full service and buffet type concepts. Ensures Best Day Ever Experience as well as overall food & beverage quality while meeting or exceeding revenue goals. Manages overall cost of goods as well as food & beverage inventories to meet budgetary and financial goals. Operates safe working environment by adhering to all health codes and required licensing. Manages labor and other costs to meet goals.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality or related field or equivalent related experience.
  • 2-3 years multi-unit restaurant and/or concessions management experience in high volume and/or amusement park locations.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • ServSafe certified.
  • ServSafe Alcohol certified.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Best Day Experience for service levels in operating units under direct supervisory control while ensuring the highest food and beverage quality and ensuring selections are consistently available.
  • Reviews daily, weekly, and monthly department paperwork and reports, and takes action to implement appropriate corrective actions to resolve operational concerns. Ensures all state and local health regulations are consistently meeting standards.
  • Assists in the preparation and administration of the annual operating budget; makes overall adjustments (labor, ODC, COG) throughout the year to meet division specific goals for accountable operating units.
  • Manages direct reports’ performance issues, addresses disciplinary situations, and provides significant input into promotion, demotion, and termination decisions; reviews adjust and approves performance appraisals for department staff on an annual basis.
  • Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
