Keyhole Tower Construction Update« Go Back Friday, February 1st, 2013
Well, the first keyhole tower is up and looks amazing! The first section of the second keyhole is scheduled to arrive on Friday, followed by the second section on Monday. If all goes as planned, the second tower will be put up on Tuesday. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that Mother Nature cooperates!
Here are some interesting tidbits I thought I would share with you:
The keyholes are not going to be the same color as they are now. Although the color will be similar (I am told that the color on them now is referred to as the “intermediate” color), the official name for it is RAL 9006. The description is white aluminum. Very Interesting…
And for those of you who don’t know, the Zero G Roll will thread through the keyhole towers. The gap between each individual tower piece will stay-this allows for the bolts to be inspected.
The upper deck of the station was poured yesterday, and the lower deck is being poured tomorrow.
There is definitely A LOT going on!
Last but definitely not least, I would like to give a shout out to Clermont Steel. They are located in Cincinnati and have been working 24/7 to get our keyholes done, as well as the track and columns.
Stay tuned for more! Next time I plan to take you behind the scenes on some of the work our Carpenters are doing!
