Hello! My name is Colleen and I've just joined the Cedar Point team as Director of Park Attractions. Although I am new to The Point, I have been a member of the Cedar Fair Family since 2004 and I have been involved in Park Operations since 1995. I am super excited to call Cedar Point my home!

With that being said, I am going to be your new OnPoint blogger! Like those before me, I’m going to help you explore the “behind the scenes” of Cedar Point. If there is anything specific that you want to see or hear about, just drop me a comment, and I will do my best to make it happen.

So to get things started I'll say that construction on Gatekeeper, the Main Entrance plaza , as well as many other projects and improvements are well underway. Check out these photos and stay tuned for more updates!

... and one very important peice of track. You know where this one goes right?

Awesome Pictures! It would be interesting to see some behind the scenes on Top Thrill Dragster. Some close up shots of the launch mechanisms and hydraulic pumps could prove to be quite interesting!

Going by the ridged piece along the center, I would say it is part of the lift section.

Welcome to the Blog collen, great photo's to start with. I like others would love the live webcam, maybe on the Sky Ride Station looking towards the lake and construction site. As for behind the scenes I would like to see the new ride maintenance building that was just purchased with the coaster trains being worked on.

WOW! I would have never guessed that they would be this far along already. From the current webcam position we can't really see that they have the turn leading to the lift almost completed. I agree with Martin that some updated video of construction would be nice. Could you possibly upload these photos and any others that you may have to the facebook pages for other fans that don't really get on the CP homepage, but still thrive on social media attention? lol THANKS!

I'm so excited about GateKeeper. I agree that we need a live web cam for the construction of it. I would also like to know approximately when it will open.

That piece of track is located at the top of the lift hill. On its way down actually.
