The Artistry of Signage

It’s just about time for you to enjoy the world’s first hyper-hybrid for the first time.

A lot went into this ride, including the gorgeous signage. We have an entire army of artists that designs and puts most of them together, and one of them is Maureen.

Maureen has been with us for 18 years and she started out painting our carousel horses. She still does this today, along with the help of a few external partners.

First things first. Safety gear. (Hi, Maureen!)

The letters start out as foam that’s been carved into each individual letter.

They’re pretty bland at the beginning, but after some hand carving…

The details start to emerge with the help of paint.

A little foiling is added to the letters to bring out the metal look without it being actual metal.

Once she puts it all together, it's a finished product!

Maureen and the rest of the sign team work on all park signage, including menus, pricing signs at the front gate, advertising signs in the park, queue signage and more.

They’re a great group. Perhaps we’ll take you into their shop again sometime soon!
