Cedar Point Nights 2018

Cedar Point Nights is upon us!

We’re celebrating nighttime at the park now through August 19 with plenty of activities taking place on our famous Cedar Point Beach and inside the park.

We’ve separated the fun into five unique “zones” for you to enjoy!

Hot Summer Nights, Music & Bites

Let’s start in the park with the Fire and Ice Zone.

On the stage, a 12-piece band of talented musicians plays two sets, each with songs with “hot” and “cool” themes.

We’ve even brought the beach inside the park with a sandy dance floor just in front of the stage with additional ground seating behind it.

Aerialists and fire performers are also on hand to heat things up.

Recognize anyone in the band from a previous show? I do! Shows are nightly except Wednesdays, 8:30 and 10 p.m.

Just near the stage, Thursdays - Saturdays from 7 to 11 p.m., the Fire and Ice Tastebud Tour showcases specialty food samples where hot & spicy meets cool & refreshing. We’re serving up things like sweet & spicy pork, bourbon BBQ and sizzlin’ seafood.

You’ll get a sampling card with small tear-off coupons to give to our team. One coupon per sample or drink.

And those drinks. There are delicious flavors of lemonades to complement your samples (full disclosure: I’ve sampled everything and I highly recommend you try it all; the Jalapeno Lemonade is pretty wicked).

Purchase your Fire and Ice Tastebud Tour card in advance and save $5.

It’s Our History; It’s Electric

As you know, our history began on the mile-long Cedar Point Beach, and it becomes energized every night.

The remainder of the zones are here. Let’s take a look.

The Glow Zone features UV black lights. Pro tip: wear white clothing to glow bright under these special lights!

The Chill Zone has super cool glow furniture and fire pits for relaxing. I spent some time on the couch and it was quite fun watching everyone have a blast (note: not me on the couch).

The Family Fun Zone has UV volleyball, glow corn hole and other popular games, and the Silent Disco Zone (my favorite to watch) is pretty fun. You can grab a pair of special headphones that have their own soundtrack – and nobody else can hear the music, so hey, you do you and rock out as you see fit, or just chill and enjoy...

Going Out With a BANG

Every night just before park closing, the sky is painted with color as fireworks burst over the beach and signify the perfect end to the perfect day.

As I wrap this up, some final info: the beach activities are all free for you to enjoy, with a nominal fee for snacks and of course, for the Fire and Ice food sampling.

Cedar Point Nights is going on now through August 19, 2018, so get out here and celebrate nighttime at America’s Roller Coast!
