Math & Science Week 2012« Go Back Friday, May 18th, 2012
Each year, we host a week-long event to showcase the science behind roller coasters and thrill rides called Math and Science Week. So what this really means... you have an excuse to tell you teacher Cedar Point is educational and take a class trip to the park!
We have a great relationship with regional our science partners, which include NASA, COSI Columbus, K'NEX, Imagination Station and others. They bring displays and demonstrations that illustrate principles of the science and physics of roller coasters. Check out the photos below to see some of the fun student had at the park this week.
NASA Plumbrook demonstrates rocket science with a plastic bottle.
Astronaut Greg Johnson met with students on the midway.
In May 2011, Greg Johnson piloted Endeavor's final flight.
Imagination Station brought a "hoverboard" and let students try it out over the midways (it doesn't work over water).
Thanks for those of you who visited during Math & Science week!
