Good Weather Means A Ton Of Activity« Go Back Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014
When the weather breaks, our team jumps at the opportunity to get things done so we're ready to go on Saturday, May 10th.
(That's Opening Day, btw.)
Exterior work continues on the 2-year Hotel Breakers renovation project. Crews were out on the roof working on the new cupolas that will adorn several points on the structure.
Painting also continues with LOTS of scaffolding everywhere. Remember, the exterior is being done this year, and the interior rooms will be refreshed next winter for a grand re-opening in 2015.
On the beach, the dirty birds are waiting for a free meal (OK, so this isn't a "good" part of the update, but hey - we have to deal with them year-round). P.S. DON'T FEED THEM. EVER!
Inside the park, a little brickwork is wrapping up around the new Coca-Cola Freestyle Station. Crews will lay bricks and concrete "edges" before the final midway is poured and finished.
Up at the front of the park, the new Starbucks location at the former Donut Time is quickly coming together. We can't reveal everything just yet, but here's a sneak peek.
It's been so transformed, you won't even remember how it looked before.
Over at Power Tower, the ride carriages stand waiting for assembly.
Some of our retail locations have been converted to "walk-in" locations, like the Hat Rack on the Main Midway. Time to clean up!
Finally, our food carts are getting cleaned, inspected and prepped for roll-out.
Get it? "Roll-out?" They're on wheels? I keed, I keed.
Lots more to show in the coming weeks!
