The 2014 Coin Revealed« Go Back Thursday, March 13th, 2014
As we plug away in preparation for this summer, it's extremely hard to even comprehend that we'll be open in 58 days.
Current temp: 18. Not cute.
However, inside our offices, we're getting ready for new food, new events, new programs and more.
First, an update on a few things.
1. Our Platinum Passholder benefits are now posted. While we may add a few here and there, this is the main list of things you'll receive this year. You'll note that some are not 100% finalized (like the 10% off at food locations), but we'll add that info when we get it.
2. Our 2014 schedule of events is also posted. Here, you'll see everything we have planned for this season, so you can plan your visit. There are a few events that we'll be adding, so check back for more details (cuz we don't have all the details just yet). Of note, we'll have TWO nights of fireworks this year - July 4th AND 5th! Hooray!
3. Our 2014 live shows are also posted! We have some new additions and the return of a few favorites as well. One special show to consider - "Snoopy Unleashed" at the Good Time Theatre, a brand-new ice show featuring Snoopy and pals.
4. Intern Jordan (yes, I'm still calling him that) is out taking winter photos today. We'll have those posted soon.
On to today's top story.
Our tweetup coin is morphing into its physical state, and I wanted to share its progress.
We knew we wanted Blue Streak on the coin this year - it's the 50th Anniversary, after all.
So we start with a design from our Art Dept. at Planning & Design:
After making some minor changes, we send to production who sends us this, the final proof:
And there she is. Remember, only 500 are produced each season and each is numbered on the side.
You can only get these by following me on Twitter while you're at the park. They're not available anywhere else.
If you've never participated in our tweetups, please take a moment to read the rules and guidelines so you can be prepared.
We'll be ready to give these away starting on Opening Day, May 10th.
