Turnpike Cars
These muscle car replicas will let you feel the wind in your hair. The Turnpike Car ride was built in 1965 and is located near the Blue Streak roller coaster. One of three car rides at Cedar Point, each Turnpike Car features a 7 horsepower engine below its trunk lid.
In 2006, the Turnpike Cars gave 251,104 rides. Guests must be at least 48 inches tall to drive or accompanied by a responsible person to ride.
Rider Safety Guide
- At Least 48" or accompanied by a responsible person
- Miniature two-seat guest-operated sports car. Guest should be able to maintain seated position during the ride, including possible bumping by other cars. If guest cannot steer and depress gas pedal while seated normally, another individual must accompany the guest to drive. The seatbelt must be fastened at all times. Special Access is through the exit gate. Drivers must be 48" tall.
