Power Tower
Feel the power! Cedar Point amusement park/resort’s Power Tower thrill ride offers guests two exciting ride experiences to choose from.
Located in the middle of the park near the Corkscrew roller coaster, Power Tower is a 300-foot-tall, state-of-the-art adrenaline factory that features two towers which launch you up 240 feet and two towers which blast you down at speeds of up to 60 mph! Built in 1998, the $10 million Power Tower debuted as the tallest ride of its kind in the world.
In 2008, more than 900,000 guests blasted up and down on Power Tower. Riders must be at least 52 inches tall.
Rider Safety Guide
- Power Tower provides guests with a choice of two different thrills. Guests may be rapidly propelled to the top of the tower, or shot down at a speed of 50 mph in three seconds. The shoulder harness and seatbelt must be fastened and tightened securely at all times. May not accommodate guests of exceptional size. Glasses must be secured with an athletic strap. Guests with any type of prosthesis should not ride unless they can ensure the device is properly secured and will remain in place during the ride. If there is any concern that the prosthesis may become dislodged during the ride, guests should contact the Park Operations Office for assistance. Special access is through the exit gate.
