Wave Swinger
The Wave Swinger debuted at Cedar Point in 1979. Located along the Frontier Trail, this spinning ride gives its passengers the sensation of floating through the air.
The Wave Swinger lifts its 48 passengers, seated in individual swings, off the ground and moves them around a rotating center column that tilts up and down, giving the ride a wave-action effect. Passengers travel 16 feet, from a high point to a low point during the ride.
In 2006, the Wave Swinger gave 402,563 rides. Passengers must be at least 48 inches tall to ride.
