Town Hall Museum
With a heritage dating back to 1870, Cedar Point is the second oldest
amusement park in North America . It was named for the groves of cedar
trees that once outlined the peninsula and began as a bathing beach on
the shores of Lake Erie .
Older children and adults will enjoy learning more about their favorite
amusement park at the Town Hall Museum . The whole family can enjoy examining
interesting artifacts and displays from by-gone days and watching a video
on the history of Cedar Point. Children will enjoy playing old time coin
operated games and seeing a scale model of the Mean Streak.
The Museum, located in Frontiertown, also provides a number of park
services including a Lost Persons/Message Center. Not only does the Town
Hall Museum entertain and instruct, but it also provides a cool and quiet
break before diving back into the fun.
