We’ve Got You Covered!

The 10th AnniverSCARY of Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends event will surely attract guests looking for a good scare. Three haunted houses, four outdoor haunted walk-through fright zones (including the new Fear Faire), activities for children and Cedar Point’s world-class collection of 68 frightfully fun rides are at the top of the HalloWeekends “must-do” list. Cedar Point’s Public Relations Department is happy to accommodate any member of the media looking for a good story – and a good scare! Here are some great ideas to get you started.

Be A Screamster
The perfect ingredient to any haunted attraction at HalloWeekends is a good fright. Our Screamsters are the monsters that lurk behind every tree, corner and building in each of our fright zones.

Let our professional team of make-up artists put YOU in the Screamster seat! You’ll see what it takes to transform yourself into a creepy, kooky midway monster. After your make-up is applied, you’ll roam one of our fright zones to see what it’s like on the “other” side. Or, if you prefer,
you may simply observe our Screamsters as they come to life in our make-up shop.

Finishing Touches
It takes a virtual army to transform the world’s largest amusement park into the world’s largest scream park. Come see how Cedar Point is decorated, disguised and draped in HalloWeekends décor in the days leading up to the opening of HalloWeekends on Sept. 22.

Unravel the Mysteries
The merriment of Magic has mesmerized guests for many seasons at HalloWeekends. Get up-close and personal with featured magicians Tim Hill and Chris Linn as they show you some of the many tricks they have up their sleeves!

Hidden Gems
HalloWeekends is more than haunted houses, thrill rides and a spooky atmosphere. Some of the best attractions are just out of view. Dig deep into the life of a gypsy fortune teller, witness the spine-tingling tales of Edgar Allen Poe or chat with the “Master Skull” – a larger-than-life skeleton head who greets guests as they enter the Fright Zone on the Frontier Trail.

Not-So-Scary Fun
Not everyone enjoys being scared – especially the little ones. See how Cedar Point provides family-friendly Halloween fun year after year. HalloWeekends features the Magical House on Boo Hill – an indoor walk-through attraction just for children, the friendly Midway Monsters that dance and interact with guests, the kids’ costume contest, mask-making and much more.

Inside The Fear Faire
Celebrating its first year at HalloWeekends, the new Fear Faire haunted walk-through attraction is Putting the Dark in the Dark Ages! We’ll take you into this new fright zone for the perfect photo, video or audio you need.

Monsters Can Rock!
Live entertainment is still going strong during HalloWeekends. The Red Garter Saloon is home to “Monsters Rock – Eternal Jamnation!,” a live rock show featuring some of the wildest creatures outside the mortuary. See how the talented singers transform themselves for 15 shows every Friday night, Saturday and Sunday!
