Millennium Force
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this 310-foot-tall steel giant has consistently been named the “Best Steel Roller Coaster in the World.” When it opened in 2000, it was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world and was the first coaster in the world to top the 30-story-tall threshold.
Maverick
Quick turns, loops and an exciting launch through a 400-foot-long tunnel has made this ground-hugging coaster is one of the most popular rides at the park. It was named the “Best New Ride of 2007” by the readers of Amusement Today newspaper.
Top Thrill Dragster
Built in 2003, Top Thrill Dragster was the world’s first 40-story-tall roller coaster. Riders reach speeds of 120 mph when they are launched straight up a 420-foot-tall tower and then plummet back to Earth at speeds of 120 mph for the second time just moments later!
Magnum XL-200
Introduced in 1989, the Magnum XL-200 is still rated as one of the best roller coasters ever built. Located along the Lake Erie coastline, Magnum features a 205-foot-tall first hill, three dark tunnels and plenty of airtime. It was the world’s first 200-foot-tall roller coaster and the first to top 70 mph (72 mph)!
Raptor
Suspended below 3,790 feet of steel tubular track in ski lift-style seats, riders are flipped upside down six times during their flight. Dropping from a 137-foot-tall first hill, riders reach a top speed of approximately 57 mph. Since 1994, more than 31 million flyers have climbed aboard Raptor.
Gemini
With a 125-foot-tall first hill and speeds of 60 mph, Gemini was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world when it opened in 1978. In 32 seasons, this double-racer has given more than 86.5 million rides along its steel tubular track supported by a wooden structure.
Disaster Transport
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this summer, the Disaster Transport indoor coaster carries riders through the dark along a twisting course of unseen turns and unexpected drops. Built near the Cedar Point Beach, the ride originally opened in 1985 as Avalanche Run, a free-wheeling bobsled ride, and was rethemed and renamed in 1990.
Blue Streak
The classic Blue Streak roller coaster is Cedar Point’s oldest existing roller coaster and has been at the park since 1964. This popular wooden coaster is 78 feet tall and features several hills and dips along its out-and-back course.
Wicked Twister
Built in 2002, the 215-foot-tall Wicked Twister is the world’s tallest and fastest double-twisting “impulse coaster.” Riders are launched forward three times and backward twice on a U-shaped track as they spiral 450 degrees straight up and straight down!
Mantis
The Mantis stand-up coaster provides an exciting ride from start to finish. Introduced in 1996, riders drop down a 145-foot-tall first hill at a top speed of 60 mph and maneuver through four inversions along a 3,900-foot-long course.
Mean Streak
Opened in 1991, Mean Streak was the world’s tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster. Its 161-tall first hill towers over Frontiertown and Sandusky Bay. Riders reach speeds of 65 mph as the trains race through a massive structure made of 1.7 million board feet of treated southern yellow pine wood.
Iron Dragon
Suspended below the track, riders sway from side to side as they travel along the twisting course that carries them above the treetops and over a fog-shrouded lagoon. Since 1987, more than 40 million riders have traveled the 2,800-foot-long track that features two lift hills.
Corkscrew
When it opened in 1976, the Corkscrew was the world’s first triple-looping roller coaster. Its 2,050-foot-long course features a vertical loop and two helical curves that carry riders directly over guests on the midway below!
WildCat
Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2010, a WildCat has been thrilling guests on the Cedar Point midway since 1970. Seated in individual four-person cars, riders are treated to an exciting journey through dips, quick turns and a spiraling finale!
Cedar Creek Mine Ride
One of the park’s oldest coasters, this runaway mine train carries riders through a curving course around quick turns, over water and a 360-degree spiral! Opened in 1969, the Cedar Creek Mine Ride has been a Frontiertown tradition for 41 years.
Woodstock Express
Built in 1999, Camp Snoopy’s Woodstock Express roller coaster chugs along its twisting steel track at a top speed of 25 mph. Its 38-foot-tall first hill makes it a thrilling adventure for young riders and parents alike.
Jr. Gemini
Standing in the shadow of its namesake, the 19-foot-tall Jr. Gemini was designed specifically for young coaster-riders. Special seating allows parents and grandparents to ride along. With a top speed of 6 mph, Jr. Gemini has been thrilling families since 1979.
