Fund-Raising Programs

Cedar Point offers a number of different fund-raising programs. Interested groups should call 1-800-668-5627 and request a Booster Bucks Information Packet. Enclosed in the packet is an Information Sheet that must be filled out and returned. The Information Sheet can be mailed or faxed as follows:

Groups will be contacted on a first-come, first-served basis to discuss dates, schedules and payment. All dates will be considered tentative until a signed letter of agreement and signed W-9 form are received. Cedar Point retains the right to cancel up to 24 hours prior to the date. There are a limited number of dates available for the 2008 season, so it is important that interested groups return the information sheet as soon as possible.

Participants in all programs will be provided with and must arrive at Cedar Point in accordance with our grooming standards. (Enclosed in the information packet is a comprehensive outline of Cedar Point’s grooming requirements.)

There are four fund-raising programs depending on the amount of time a group is willing to commit. Information packet described above is valid only for the Booster Bucks program. Contact individual coordinators for other programs.

Booster Bucks

Time Commitment: One Day

The Accommodations Department offers a unique opportunity for volunteers wanting to raise money for their organization. We are looking for groups to work a standard 8 hour shift for a single day at our resorts. Volunteers will be used primarily in hotel housekeeping and grounds. Job placements will be made upon arrival, based on our staffing and occupancy levels. Participants may be assigned to work at any of our several hotels, cottages, cabins or campgrounds. Job duties may include: vacuuming, dusting, stripping beds, making beds, bundling linens, trash removal, window washing and service with a smile! All group members should be prepared to perform these types of tasks.

  • Individuals must be at least 16 years of age. Student groups must be accompanied by responsible working chaperones.
  • Groups of 25 volunteers or more are preferred although groups with a minimum of 10 members may participate.
  • Volunteers will be scheduled to work 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Overnight lodging in employee housing is not provided.
  • The donation amount is prorated based on the number of participants and actual hours worked. Contact the program coordinator for specific information regarding donation rates.
  • Organizations of at least 25 individuals who all work the required shift will earn an extra $100 bonus for their group.
  • Participants qualify for admittance to the amusement park after the entire group has completed their designated shift.
  • Returning groups in good standing may be eligible to work more than one single day commitment during the season.
  • Each group member must adhere to all Cedar Point Resorts grooming guidelines, basic dress requirements and all other program policies, procedures and deadlines.

Games Fund-Raisers

Time Commitment: One Weekend

The Games Department is looking for groups of 20 or more people to work an entire weekend as a part of Cedar Point's Games Department as a Games Fundraiser Volunteer.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. Groups should range from 20 - 30 volunteers.
  • No job sharing. Each person will be scheduled to work between 24 - 27 hours during the weekend.
  • Includes Friday evening orientation training.
  • Saturday & Sunday work hours include all park operating hours.
  • Groups needed for weekends (Friday-Sunday), Aug. 22 - Nov. 2.
  • Volunteers may stay in employee housing Friday and Saturday night.
  • Pay rate is $6.25/hour for each volunteer plus a $.50 per hour bonus per person upon completion of agreement.
  • Groups must adhere to all Cedar Point Grooming Guidelines.

Merchandise Fund Raising

The Merchandise Department is looking for groups of 20 or more people to work an entire weekend as a part of Cedar Point's Merchandise Department as a Fundraiser Volunteer. Group members will be working as sales associates in one of our many retail positions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing excellent guest service, merchandise sales, cash handling, cleaning and stocking. Group members will be expected to stand for long period of time and working in all weather conditions during the cold fall weekends. Additional information includes:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age. Groups should range from 20 - 30 volunteers.
  • No job sharing. Each person will be scheduled to work between 16 - 20 hours during the weekend. Includes Friday evening orientation training.
  • Saturday & Sunday work hours include all park operating hours*.
  • Groups needed for weekends (Friday-Sunday), Aug. 22 - Nov. 2.
  • Volunteers may stay in employee housing Friday and Saturday night.
  • Pay rate is $6.25/hour for each volunteer plus a $.50 per hour bonus per person upon completion of agreement.
  • Groups must adhere to all Cedar Point Grooming Guidelines and all other program procedures, policies and deadlines.
  • Group members are permitted to enjoy themselves in the park after orientation training on Friday night.

*Note: Merchandise locations may remain open one hour to one and one-half hours after park closing.

Food Services Fund-Raisers

Time Commitments Available (3 OPTIONS):
OPTION 1: Multiple Weekends (6 hour program) (Each weekend includes both Saturday & Sunday, need not be consecutive)
OPTION 2: Multiple Saturdays (6 hour program) (need not be consecutive)
OPTION 3: Single Weekend Commitments (8 hour program) (includes both Saturday and Sunday, fall weekends only, limited availability)

The Cedar Point Food Services Division is looking for non-profit groups of 16 members willing to work hard, have fun, and provide excellent guest service to our valued Cedar Point guests. Groups will be assigned to Food Service locations including any of the park’s quick service locations, restaurants and/or specialty carts. At the assigned locations, the group may have a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to: food sales, cash handling, cleaning, stocking, clearing tables, food preparation, greeting guests, washing dishes, rolling silverware, providing excellent guest services, etc. Location assignments are subject to change at the discretion of the division at anytime. Group members will be expected to stand for long periods of time and to work in a fast-paced environment in all types of weather conditions, including extreme hot/cold temperatures. Additional program information includes:

  • All participants must be at least 16 years of age. No Exceptions! Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a working chaperone.
  • All participants must adhere to the Food Services Fundraising Program’s grooming and dress guidelines (see attached) and all other program policies, procedures, and deadlines.
  • No job sharing. Each participant will be scheduled at least 6-8 hours each day (depending on the program option selected). Scheduled shifts will vary from weekend to weekend, ranging anywhere from 9am-1am, depending on park/location hours.
  • If eligible and pre-arranged, accommodations in Cedar Point’s employee housing will be made available to group participants free of charge (must be at least 18 yrs. of age). Housing is only available opening weekend in May and then again for the fall weekends. Housing space is limited. If housing is not available or if eligibility requirements are not met, groups are responsible for finding alternative accommodations if necessary.
  • Group supervisors must attend an orientation meeting (1-2 hours in length). At least one trained supervisor must be participating with the group at all times.
  • Participants are permitted to spend any time not scheduled to work enjoying themselves in the park.
  • Email program coordinator for Earnings Schedule, Grooming & Dress Guidelines, and/or with additional questions. Earnings Schedule will vary depending on time commitments and adherence to program guidelines.

*Groups able to commit to multiple weekends (at least 3) or multiple Saturdays (at least 3) will have scheduling priorities. Single weekend commitments are limited and only available during fall weekends.

Scream Teams

Park Operations is looking for groups of 20 or more people to work an entire weekend in one of Cedar Point’s HalloWeekends haunted attractions.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • No job sharing. Each person will be scheduled to work 24-27 hours during the weekend.
  • Work schedule: Friday: 6PM-Midnight (or close); Saturday: 11AM-Midnight (or close); Sunday: 11AM-8PM (or close). Groups needed for weekends (Friday-Sunday), Sept. 12-Nov. 2.
  • Volunteers may stay in employee housing Friday and Saturday night.
  • Pay rate is $6.25/hour for each volunteer plus a $.50 per hour bonus per person upon completion of agreement.
  • Groups must adhere to all Cedar Point Grooming Guidelines.

RIDE PRIDE

Park Operations is looking for groups of 20 or more people to work an entire weekend Working one of Cedar Point’s Rides.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • No job sharing. Each person will be scheduled to work 24-27 hours during the weekend.
  • Work schedule: Friday: 6PM-8 PM, Saturday: two hours before park opening until ride closed, Sunday:9:30 AM-ride closing, Hours vary according to Park Operating hours. Work approximately 24 to 27 hours per weekend. Groups needed for weekends (Friday-Sunday), early May, Late August, All September and October weekends, plus the first weekend of November.
  • Volunteers may stay in employee housing Friday and Saturday night.
  • Pay rate is $6.25/hour for each volunteer plus a $.50 per hour bonus per person upon completion of agreement.
