Who?

Who are we Looking For?

Singers, Dancers, Singer/Dancers & Singer Musicians

  • Our shows feature LIVE vocals
  • Singers: We ask that you prepare several selections showing versatile styles. However, time may allow us to hear only one piece, so sing your best selection first.
  • Select upbeat and positive music (our shows are pop, country and classic rock 'n roll). Please, no classical pieces. Be ready to show your personality and your ability to interact with audience members.
  • You may bring your own accompanist or use ours. All sheet music should be in the correct key-our accompanist will not transpose. A standard cassette/CD player will be provided.
  • You may NOT sing a cappella.
  • Singers MAY be asked to stay for a brief dance call, so bring movement-appropriate clothing.
  • DANCERS: Be prepared to learn a high-energy dance combination. (If you are also doing a vocal audition, you will sing first.)

Musicians & Singer/Musicians

  • All instrumentalists must audition individually.
  • Choose two selections of contrasting styles that demonstrate your versatility (e.g. country, pop, light jazz). Avoid highly progressive jazz and hard rock. Sight-reading may be requested.
  • Drummers: Be prepared to play a variety of styles (i.e. pop, rock and rudiments). Set drummers should bring a bass drum, hi-hat, one ride cymbal and no more than two tom-toms. (Drum sets will be provided at the Sandusky audition site only.)
  • Electric guitar and Electric bass players will need to provide amplifiers.

Karaoke Hosts

A karaoke host is needed for Camp Snoopy. Vibrant personalities with the ability to act as an event emcee to keep a party atmosphere going are required. Experience in sound amplification is helpful. Please prepare a resume with any DJ, Karaoke, acting or stage experience and any experience you may have had working with children. You may be asked to improvise at the audition site.
