Before Auditions

  • Singers - You should carefully choose and limit selections to two minutes. Since most Cedar Point shows are high energy, fast paced shows, it is advisable that your first selection be up-tempo and in the style that you consider your strongest. Suggested styles include Pop, Rock & Roll and Country. Showing as much versatility as possible to the audition team will increase your chances of employment. Make sure that your selections are properly marked and in the correct key for your voice. You may not sing a cappella. You should also prepare a professional resume with references.
  • Dancers - Be prepared to learn at least one dance combination. Please bring jazz shoes or dance sneakers.
  • Musicians - You should limit selections to two minutes. Select short sections of different styles including rock, swing, pop and country. Please prepare a training and performance resume with references. A drum set and amplifiers will be provided at the Sandusky audition ONLY.
  • Technicians - You should prepare a professional resume with references. Interviews will be held at each audition site.
  • Peanuts™ Characters - You should prepare a resume listing any experience you may have had in costume character work, children's theatre, dance, recreation and any educational classes. Also, include any experience you may have had working with children. Interviews will be held at each audition site. Please keep in mind that you must be 4'8" - 5'2" (BFOQ). Those who do not meet these requirements can be considered for an escort or usher position.

When You Arrive at the Audition

  • Sign in at the registration desk
  • Completely fill out the appropriate information card
  • Return your card with resume to the registration desk
  • Wait for your name to be called. Auditions and Interviews are on a first come, first serve basis.

While Waiting

Please arrange all of your materials so you will be ready to begin when your name is called. If you have a tape, please have it cued-up.

When You are Called

  • Singers - Open and give one of your songs to the pianist with a brief and clear explanation as to how you would like the accompaniment to be played. If you are singing to a professionally prerecorded tape, hand the CUED-UP tape to the person at the audition table. The audition committee can tell very quickly what they need to hear, so you may be stopped before your material is completed. If they need to hear an additional selection or see a demonstration of your dance abilities, they will tell you at this time. Availability dates are very important for employment. Please see Show Dates for tentative employment dates.
