Videotape Auditions
If you are unable to audition in person, videotape auditions are accepted. Applicants must be at least 18 years old by the time your employment begins. Our season opens in early May and continues through Labor Day. Reporting dates range from early May to mid-June, with shows running through late August or early September. Some contracts offer additional Bonus and Halloweekends® through October. For employment dates please see Tentative Show Dates.
Please include: Video (VHS), head shot, performance resume (with references) and cover letter stating your specific employment dates. Please, include a detailed synopsis of video content. Also, please remember that materials cannot be returned.
Those who are interested in auditioning/interviewing in more than one area can send just one tape containing all audition/interview pieces on it.
Videotape Requirements
For ALL Video Auditions
At the beginning of your video, please give us a mini interview by stating your name, the city and state where you are from, a little bit about yourself and your training and/or experience in order to give us an insight into your personality and character.
If applicable, please include any portion of past or current productions that show your performing experiences and training.
For a Singing Audition
Prepare two vocal selections of varying styles, choosing music that is upbeat and positive. Please keep in mind that most of our shows consist of pop, country and classic rock & roll. Please, NO a cappella. Original and classical compositions are not suitable audition material.
If you are interested in the performing position at Camp Snoopy, please include any experience you have had with children.
For a Dancing Audition
Prepare approximately a two minute combination displaying your best style of dance; i.e. Ballet, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre or any combination of styles.
In addition to the combination, please execute any other floor movements that you do well, (i.e. turns, leaps, jumps, specialty moves.) These do not have to be done to music.
For an Instrumental Audition
Prepare two selections of varying styles, choosing music that is upbeat and positive, keeping in mind that most of our shows consist of pop, country and classic rock & roll. Please, no highly progressive jazz or hard rock.
Drummers show a variety of styles (i.e. pop, rock, rudiments, etc.)
Limit video to approximately two to three minutes.
All our instrumentalist play an active role in our shows-stage presence and personality are a must. Be sure to perform while playing on the tape.
For a Karaoke Audition
Please send a tape showing your personality. Remember it should be appropriate for a family style atmosphere. If you are interested in the Camp Snoopy Karaoke position, please include any work that you may have done with children.
For a PEANUTS™ Costumed Character Audition
Expand upon the mini-interview. Please include any experience in costume character work, dance, children's theatre and recreation. Also, include any experience you have had working with children.
Please, keep the following height restrictions in mind: You must be 4'8"-5'2". (BFOQ) Those who do not meet these requirements can be considered for an escort or usher position.
