Want The Last Ride On Demon Drop?

It's contest time again. Gather 'round.

This Sunday, November 1, is the last operating day of the season. It's also the last operating day for the Demon Drop thrill ride at the park. It's moving out to Knott's Berry Farm in California for 2010.

We want you to be the last public riders here at Cedar Point. So, to do that, we're playing a game. It's time to find the Golden Tickets once again.

Here's how the game is played:

12 members of our full-time staff (we wear the blue, rectangular name tags) will each have two Golden Tickets around their necks on Sunday, November 1 only. They look like this:



If you spot a staff member (they're randomly selected) wearing the Golden Ticket, you must go up to him or her and repeat this EXACT phrase:

"Please stop - I want that ticket for Demon Drop."

If the phrase is wrong in any way, you will not get the two tickets.

Because there are two tickets, one is for you and the other is for your riding partner.

Each ticket is numbered (24 all the way down to 1). Your number corresponds to the order in which you'll be seated. 24, 23, 22 & 21 will take the first car, while numbers 4, 3, 2 & 1 will be the very last riders. There are 6 Demon Drop cars in all.

Find the tickets and then meet us at Demon Drop's entrance at 8:00 p.m. You'll keep them as souvenirs, btw.

Will the public have to leave the park when the last riders ride, or can anyone stick around to watch?

Wil all of the tickets be given out first thing in the morning? Or will those of us who can't get there when the gates open have a chance to get the ticket later in the day?

    Tickets will be worn at random throughout the day. None will be given out first thing in the morning. And waiting by park offices will probably not be a good idea
