The qualified technician needs to be able to read and use electrical/electronic schematics to troubleshoot and repair control systems. The candidate needs to be able to use oscilloscopes and other test equipment to aid in the diagnosing and repair of control systems. A qualified candidate should have working knowledge of Rockwell Automation family and PLC and networking systems. An exceptionally qualified candidate would have working knowledge of AutoCad LT to document electrical changes made to improve ride performance. Must be able to diagnose DC & AC drive problems and make minor repairs as needed. Must be able to work in various weather and environmental conditions. Must be able to carry and lift various weights; bending, prolonged standing and walking and should be able to climb various ride apparatus.
2 - 4 years experience with industrial controls and/or high speed manufacturing experience. Candidates with industrial control or robotics degree are preferred.

Responsible for effectively inspecting and troubleshooting all rides and devices as assigned Inspect, maintain, and repair rides as required and as instructed by supervisor
Duties include: lubrication, adjustments, and replacement of various components.
Report any unusual conditions to supervisors; perform daily log book entry of inspections, adjustments, repairs, and replacement performed
Recommend changes in procedure that are consistent with a continuous improvement approach to the Ride Maintenance Department
Follow all company policies and safety rules Ensure rides or equipment is properly locked out before maintenance is performed.

Successful candidate will work well independently and with others High school graduate or GED; Must join Laborers union. Mechanical aptitude and extensive hands on mechanical experience necessary. Good writing and record keeping skills, ability to communicate effectively and take direction from supervisor. Willing to work various shifts and scheduled days. Possess good work ethic and attendance record. Must have valid driver’s license. Must be able to work in various weather and environmental conditions.
